# Complete a pre-task safety analysis

> Review potential risks, control measures, and responsible parties before beginning a task

A pre-task safety analysis (PTSA), also known as a pre-task plan (PTP), is a structured safety review conducted before beginning a specific task. Crews use it to identify potential hazards, define control measures, and confirm that everyone involved understands the risks. PTSAs demonstrate due diligence in meeting OSHA and client safety requirements.

  <Step title="Start a new analysis">
    Navigate to **Logs**, select **+Add**, then select **Pre-Task Safety Analysis**. Choose the required jobsite details and click **Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the analysis">
    Fill in the task description, hazards, and control measures.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Certify worker attendance">
    In the **Workers** section, select the workers involved and toggle **ON** to certify their attendance. Add any relevant attachments.
