# Grant user access

> Assign a role to a user so they can manage your jobsite or contractor organization in the Odin web and mobile apps

Roles control what a user can see and do in the Odin web and mobile apps. You can assign roles scoped to a jobsite or a contractor organization. See [built-in roles](/manage-jobsites/built-in-roles) for a full list of available roles and their permissions.

1. From the user's profile, select **User Roles** in the banner navigation.
2. Click **Add User Role**.
3. Choose the role from the dropdown and select the jobsite(s) or contractor.
4. Click **Add User Role** to confirm.

If a user needs the same role across multiple jobsites, you can select all applicable jobsites in a single assignment rather than repeating the process for each one.
